Along with the dress, here you can see more items of booty from our Emma Huntington’s wedding collection. The head-dress was
obviously especially made for Emma and consists of a roll of the ‘champagne’ coloured raw silk, in the style of the neckline of the dress,
interwoven with silk roses at the front, dyed in a colour which might best be described as burgundy, to match her bridal bouquet. The
head-dress has a comb at the front to grip Emma’s auburn tresses and a mist of white tuile veil long enough to hang down at the back to
her shapely waist.
Next up for consideration is an
elasticated white satin garter for her
captivating thigh, decorated with
white lace and small ‘something blue’
rose bud.  At what stage in the
proceedings was this removed and by
whom, we wonder. Clearly it wasn’t
tossed to the drooling crowd for the
benefit of a photograph, to become
the trophy of some sweaty
sycophantic admirer or wide-eyed
pre-pubescent page-boy, since it
now forms a pleasing addition to our
Emma ensemble.
As we’ve already made clear, most
of the detail in this dress is in the
rear, the front lacking in detail in
comparison. The pictures of the
dress while being worn by Emma do
not clearly show that the front of the
bodice is decorated with a geometric
pattern of tiny pearls on a quilted
effect background . The bodice
itself is highlighted by a v-shape of
tapering same material piping
narrowing to a point at  the waist.
The waist itself is also highlighted by
the same piping effect. The top of
the bodice is decorated with a single
fabric rose as per the back bodice
and shoulders.
