Another wedding dress for our collection
Followers of these pages will know by now that we like to collect wedding dresses, especially those freshly worn
by pretty young brides. We've even had them come to us still with confetti falling out of the folds of the train as
we've taken them out the bag. Some you could swear still carried the aroma of Champagne and wedding cake.
Here's something different then, a wedding dress brand new from the shop. Now all we need is a young potential
bride to model it for us - any volunteers ? The deal - you can borrow the dress from us, model it, preferably get
married in it and just return it safely with plenty of photographs.

This was the dress waiting in the shop, unloved and in need for an owner . . . .
In as new condition, the
dress is a warm ivory silk
with delicate beaded and
lace detail on the fitted
bodice. The neckline is
lovely and the sleeves are
lace and tulle. There is
rosebud detail round the
neckline front and back.
Silk covered buttons
fasten the back of the
bodice. This is a very
figure flattering dress.
The skirt is full with an
approx 2' long train. The
train has a finger loop for
holding it up out of the
way while you dance.

There are two inbuilt netted petticoats that add lovely shape and fullness to the skirt. There is a delicate lace trim around the
hemline and train. Length from shoulder to hemline is 62". There is inbuilt stiffening in the seams of the bodice which holds the
figure in nicely though.. Approximate bodice measurements are 36" bust, 29" waist, the dress is labelled as a UK12.

As you can see this dress has proper back-button
fastening with no zip at all, which is a touch we like a lot.
Nicely finished and fully lined with integral crinoline to
puff out that skirt - although an extra one is always a
bonus. Everything the potential bride-to-be needs to be
wearing on her wedding day. Potential models apply here.
