The 7361 short nightdress is also a favourite,
we have it black with white lace which is
pleasingly reminiscent of a French Maid's
uniform, which is always sometime guaranteed to
ensure a pleasurable bedtime experience.
The second of our favourite designers is Sandra de
Pledge of York. Birgit was lucky enough to get a gift
wrapped pair of her soft silk 'Entice' pyjamas for
Christmas in a charming coral colour and has hardly
taken then off since. The smartly tailored cut is
delightfully set off my the dyed to match covered
buttons and Birgit informs us that bedtime on
Christmas Day couldn't have come soon enough to
sleep in them for the first time. Lucky girl.
Carolyn meantime is frequently to be found swanning
around in her 'Papillion' collection sleep chemise and
jacket which she was fortunate enough to acquire for
her last birthday. In a curiously titled colour
combination of 'light navy and coffee', she assures us it
is a much a pleasure to sleep in as it is to look at, but we
strongly suspect that she's had her hands between her
thighs beneath the covers again.
The third of our top-three lingerie and nightwear
designers is Diane Rubach of Uttoxeter, creator of
the Diki range of silk goodies. Her Charlotte chemise
and jacket in ivory with ice blue lace trimmings is such a
firm favourite here that Birgit and Carolyn regularly
squabble with each other over who gets to wear our set
when they come to visit. The detailing of the heavenly
soft lace bodice is a treat for the eye of the beholder
as well as to the skin of the wearer. A perfect night's
sweet dreams is surely guaranteed for the wearer, if only
they're given the chance !
