More silk nightwear from the archives
Another former favourite, now sadly missed, is David Nieper of Derbyshire,
who for several years in the mid-90s produced some stunning middle of the range
nightwear, admittedly not all items of their range were silk, but beautifully
designed and crafted none the less. Charmingly the seemed to prefer the French
word 'peignoir' rather than negligee for the matching robes in their collection, as
shown here. Sadly, in recent times David Nieper seems to have gone down the
road of trying to satisfy the 'old ladies' market and nothing that he has produced
in recent times has been of any interest at all. We show here a selection of the
best of their range from when they were in their prime.
