BIRGIT COMPTON'S
FRENCH MAID FILES - Page twelve
A film generously described as 'a bittersweet comedy about the drama of being alive' and a 'painfully hilarious
portrait of modern life in the class-sensitive west side of Los Angeles', would seem at first, or even second and
third glance, to contain little to detain us here, except this year's movie
'Friends with Money' contains one saving
grace, a scene where Jennifer Aniston dresses as a French maid for her boyfriend. A film which might otherwise
have completely slipped under our radar on the grounds of not actually being very good, was saved by the publicity
department who realised that a well circulated still of Jennifer in her French maid uniform (see our
page five) might
actually bring in some customer like ourselves.  They were right.
'Don't mind me, I'll just watch'.
If you wake up fifty-nine minutes into the film you'll be just in time  to see Jennifer's boyfriend, (I wasn't interested
enough to remember their character's names), make her a present of a rather fetching maid's outfit which she
sportingly wears to do some Hoovering and a little light dusting while he lies back and enjoys the view.
'What IS this funny flat attachment for ?'
For those who are interested, the film revolves around the idea that Jennifer works as a maid (usually more boringly
attired) for her much richer friends and in this scene her boyfriend decides to take advantage of the situation.
dust, dust, dust . . .
'Dust your dick yet, sir ?'
It's THAT long ?
'Sorry, is my dusting too loud, sir ?'
I think the boyfriend could watch all day, (who couldn't), as she Hoovers and dusts, but eventually she gets bored
and protests that she thought 'this maid thing was about sex', (well, that too), and so her boyfriend ends up giving an
apparently disinterested Jen a good seeing too whilst she is still dressed as the maid.  (Nice !).
Nice !
Interesting contrasting back detail.
Hmmm . .
Whoah ! Matching black panties !
Notice a glimpse of the matching black panties here,
(above). Good attention to detail.
'Hoover your dick, sir ?'
Cleevage.
Finished !
Don't forget the cobwebs, Jennifer !
'Damn, I missed a cobweb up there !'.
'I wonder if this outfit is machine washable ?'
'Frankly the dusting was more pleasurable'.
Listening to the director's commentary at the appropriate point apparently the dress was made up specially for the film, so
I'm afraid it's no good looking for this one in the shops. Although if anyone finds out differently we'd be interested to know.
OK, it's called 'Friends with money', stars Jennifer Aniston and some other people, now available on DVD, go check it out.
