The other week we stayed at one of those posh country hotels and while we were absentmindedly flicking through the 'Guest
Services Directory' there, in amongst the babysitting service, details of local church services and the address of the nearest dentist,
was one entry that jumped off the page : 'Evening Maid Service'. Surely this was too good to be true ? Sure, the advertised hours
of between 7.00 and 8.00 pm were a little restrictive and you could even hang the 'Do not disturb' sign outside your door if you did
not wish to avail yourself of this facility, (what kind of fools did they take us for ?!), but low and behold it was true and it was good !
And we finally got to find out about that mysterious evening job that Birgit has been keeping to herself about recently . . . . .
